In this subject students will gain an understanding of why ethics and good corporate governance has become a prominent issue with regard to recent overseas and Australian corporate collapses and why the role of professionals such as auditors has been questioned in relation to corporate collapses. It is important to Fraud Investigators to understand the ethical dilemmas they may face while conducting their investigations, both on a personal level and organisationally. Additionally a sound knowledge of ethics and corporate governance will enhance the capacity of the fraud investigator to recommend action to reduce the opportunities for fraud to occur
