This subject extends students' understanding of the concepts underlying health information management and health informatics. The focus is on both administrative and clinical information systems including system specification issues and technical considerations for electronic information systems. Case studies and enquiries are used to apply critical theories to applications. Discussions, research and student presentations enable students to create a model for designing information systems to support the provision of quality care.
