Subject outline

This subject provides an introduction to important earth science theories and the evidence for them, and to the formation and alteration of minerals, rocks and landscapes. It also considers the history of life on Earth and the interaction of humans with geological processes. GEO1ES Earth Science is available for study by students in all disciplines across the university, and will provide students with foundation geoscience knowledge and skills that are applicable across varying areas of future employment.
