Subject outline

This subject represents the commencement of the preservice teacher's four year practicum program, it is complemented by a school-based program. The subject is an introduction to lesson planning and teaching strategies. Embedded throughout the subject is an understanding that inclusive classroom principles, assessment practices, motivation and engagement and classroom management underpin effective teaching and learning practice. A key element to developing these understandings is to teach preservice teachers to reflect on practice.
