In this subject we examine child development from a cognitive, physical, emotional, moral, social and psychological perspective in the context of classroom practice and intervention in a changing world. We study the history and theories of child development, physical and motor development, perceptual development, personality, attachment and attachment behaviour, the self, social competence and identity, gender and family.
