Subject outline

This subject is split into three components designed to provide final-year students with further information on all disciplines within dentistry. A series of one-day seminars will involve each of the specialist disciplines building on complexity from the previous years. One Back to Base session will be held in the first half of the year to again focus attention on the multidisciplinary aspects of treatment planning along, with a comprehensive approach to patient care. The third component will involve an additional Back to Base week to provide further discussions on: law and ethics in dentistry, aspects of practice management, and careers in dentistry.

Laboratory Class
Two 3.0 hours laboratory class other recurrence on weekdays during the day and delivered via face-to-face.
"While in Bendigo the students will undertake two 3-hour laboratory sessions"

Lecture
One 1.0 hours lecture per study period on weekdays during the day and delivered via face-to-face.
"Students will be rostered off clinic for a two week period to assist in the completion of a research project"

Seminar
One 8.0 days seminar per study period on weekdays during the day and delivered via face-to-face.
"A series of one-day seminars will be held throughout the year at each of the clinical placement sites, totalling 56 hours for the year"
