Human research ethics

All research projects and teaching practical classes involving human participants require approval by an ethics committee. Approval may be sought from either the University Human Ethics Committee (UHEC) or the Faculty Human Ethics Committee (FHEC). Low-risk research projects are approved by the FHEC. Research projects which are above low-risk are approved by the UHEC.

To see if your research is low-risk, go to the Research Services Human Ethics Application Procedures web page.

For inquiries to the Faculty HEC, please contact Ms Kaye Collins E: k.collins@latrobe.edu.au or T: +61 3 9479 3698.
