Workplace safety is a high priority in the School of Pharmacy and Applied Science. The Supervisor of each work unit conducts regular workplace safety inspections to confirm that agreed safety procedures are being followed, identify any safety hazards, and determine training needs within their unit. Specific hazards are recorded in a hazard register which is kept in the work units' personalised Laboratory Safety Manual. Risk assessments are conducted to determine the best way to reduce the risks associate with each hazard.
