Third year studies
The Department of Zoology offers a unique third year experience, with subjects comprised of three individual components.
For students enrolled in ZOO3EPA and ZOO3EPB, the default components involve lectures and practical laboratory work. Students also have the chance to replace some of the default components with field courses or a research project.
ZOO3TZA and ZOO3TZB consist of the lectures from each default component, but do not include the laboratory/practical classes. Field courses and research projects can only be taken as part of ZOO3EPA and ZOO3EPB.
Students who are unsuccessful in gaining a place in either ZOO3EPA or ZOO3EPB can instead enrol in ZOO3TZA or ZOO3TZB respectively.
