International students
La Trobe University is a safe and dynamic place to study for international students. We have a strong reputation in offering high quality education and support services for international students. Our International Student Services (ISS) team recognises that coming to a new country for most students requires a period of adjustment. Hence, we provide advice, support and information to all international students to help you adjust yourself to life and study in Australia.
Before arriving in Australia we recommend you visit La Trobe International’s (LTI) website for important information on preparing to come to Australia as well as services available for new international students such as airport reception and temporary accommodation.
International students must arrive in Australia in time to attend the Welcome Festival and Enrolment, which is followed by the University Orientation. The program provides essential information to help you to make the most of university life and succeed during your time at La Trobe. Further details about each session are provided in the University Orientation brochure.
Throughout your time at La Trobe, you are welcome to continuously seek advice, information and support from the International Student Services (ISS) team. We can assist you with academic, social, financial and cultural issues during your studies.
ISS team also runs many social events and programs where you can make new friends with domestic and other international students. To enhance your experience in Australia, the University also provides many opportunities to our international students to actively engage in various cultural groups and local communities.
