Bendigo Registration and Enrolment

Registration

As soon as possible after your arrival, we ask you to visit the International Office (IO) to fill out a simple registration form. You also receive useful on-arrival information materials which will be explained to you by an IO staff member.

Enrolment

Enrolment is when you formally register in your course. The process takes place during the orientation period. The process generally includes an interview with the Academic Advisor followed by discussions with course advisors, subject selection and enrolment into subjects. You will be issued with a 'Statement of Account', which you present to Student Administration to receive your student identification card. It generally takes 3-4 days before you will receive your permanent student identification, but you can request an identification letter from the IO if you need it in this interim period. The 'La Trobe Card' is a smartcard, in which you can store data. With your La Trobe Card you can borrow from the library and pay for photocopying.

Information on enrolment times and venues is available at the IO prior to orientation. To learn how to construct your personal study timetable - a plan of when and where your classes will take place - please attend the relevant Orientation Program session. You can view the current timetable online, but note that it is updated on a regular basis.
