What happens on the day?
Step 1: attend a course information session
On arrival at your enrolment venue, you will attend an information session with your faculty.
Step 2: enrol
After the information session, staff from your faculty will be available to help with subject selection. They can also help you complete your enrolment form and HECS-HELP/FEE-HELP/SA-HELP forms if needed.
When your enrolment form is complete, you will be directed to staff who will process your paperwork. You will receive an ‘Acknowledgement of Enrolment’ letter. This letter will enable you to get your student ID card.
Step 3: have your photo taken for your student ID card
You will be directed to the card station to have your photo taken for your La Trobe student ID card. You will need this card for:
- library access
- printing and photocopying
- sitting exams
- proving your student status off-campus for some concessions.
Staff will be available to help with information about Orientation Week, Academic Welcome addresses and services on campus. You will also get your student diary.
Step 4: fees (for local students)
You do not have to pay any large fees on enrolment day. In fact, you do not have to pay any tuition fees until you receive a Statement of Account in the post. Enrolment day, however, is the perfect time to organise payment for services like parking or student organisations.
- Get more information about fees (local students)
- Get more information about fees (international students)
- Get more information about the Student Services and Amenities Fees (all students)
Now you have enrolled you are ready to get started.
