Frequently asked questions
What if I cannot attend on enrolment day?
If you are able to attend on the day but not at the designated time, call 1800 774 452 to arrange to attend a different session. You need to arrange this before the day of your scheduled enrolment.
If you can’t make it on the day of your enrolment, you can have someone else attend for you. This person is called your ‘proxy’. They will need to bring a completed proxy form and your pre-signed request for Commonwealth Support HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP or SA-HELP form (if applicable) to be able to act on your behalf. The proxy form is available on page 23 of your Enrolment Guide. Your proxy will need to know all your subject selections in advance.
What if I don’t enrol?
If you do not enrol or send a proxy then your offer will lapse; that is you will lose your place in the course.
What if I enrol and then change my mind about studying?
If you decide you do not wish to study straight away, there are several options available. You can:
- apply to transfer to another La Trobe course
- apply to defer your course
- stop studying at La Trobe University altogether by discontinuing your enrolment:
We recommend you speak to your faculty or the Future Students Centre before making your final decision. We can offer guidance and information on pathway options. International students contact La Trobe International.
