Connect Mentor Program

What is the Connect Mentor Program?

Connect Mentor ProgramThe Connect Mentor Program has been designed to provide new students with opportunities to meet new and current students in their course and faculty.

All new students across our five campuses are allocated a Connect Mentor and group when they commence study.

Connect Mentors are not tutors or academic advisors. Mentors are second, third or fourth year students who have been carefully selected to provide support and advice on the social transition to uni.

How will I find out who my Connect Mentor is?

  • In Semester Two, you will be allocated to a Connect Mentor on the day of Orientation. Please check the Orientation Program for more details.

What's involved with the Connect Mentor Program?

During Orientation Week, Connect Mentor groups will take you on a Campus Tour and join in on a free Faculty Lunch where you'll have opportunities to get to know other students studying in your course and faculty.

Following on from Orientation, throughout the first six weeks of the semester, Connect Mentor groups will meet regularly formally and informally, providing new students with an opportunity to socialise and to get advice and support on a wide range of student life issues.
