Drop-in learning support

Peer Learning Advisers (PLAs)

PLAs are experienced students who can help you get on top of your study. PLAs are very friendly and come from many disciplines; e.g. health sciences, business or education.

Drop-in to see us; we can help you with

  • assignment and thesis writing
  • learning skills such as time-management, giving presentations
  • some maths and statistics (limited times available)

Would you like to be a Peer Learning Adviser?

To join our PLA team you need to:

  • Be an enrolled student
  • have a B grade average – you will need to supply an academic transcript (on application)
  • be eligible to work in Australia
  • be able to work 4-8 hours per week – this is a paid role @ HEO2 approximately $29p.h
  • be committed to learning with other students

We need students from all courses across the University. We are especially interested in students with confidence in numeracy skills in addition to literacy skills.
