Eligibility

The program is open to undergraduate students who have completed at least two semesters of study, postgraduate students and La Trobe alumni (who have graduated since 2007). International and Australian students from across all faculties currently studying at any La Trobe campus* are welcome to apply.

Entry is based on a combination of criteria including evidence of previous community engagement, academic record and interview performance. Applicants need to provide:

• a completed application form
• a copy of La Trobe academic results (at least two previous semesters)
• evidence of community engagement (for example volunteering, member of a University club or association)
• an academic or professional reference letter        

Successful applicants will be short-listed for an interview.

*Due to the cost of delivering the program a minimum number of 10 participants is required at each campus. The facilitators of Infinity reserve the right not to deliver the program at any given campus in the event of insufficient successful applicants.

Your commitment

We realise you lead very busy lives so we need you to fully understand the commitment involved in the program before you apply.
The two day retreat in February is compulsory for all participants in the program.

You must attend at least five out of the six guest seminars over semester 1 (seminars take place every second Wednesday from 5.30- 7.30pm).

You will be asked to complete a report on your community project experience at the end of the program to demonstrate your leadership skills. Please view the program schedule.

Cost

The fee is $110 for current students $160 for graduates. The fee covers the retreat’s accommodation and meals and all other expenses throughout the program. Payments can be made in instalments.
