MyPrint for students

MyPrint recharge

Activating your MyPrint Recharge account is a two stage process, that doesn’t take long to complete. It is best done once you have your new Student (or staff) card available, however you’ll be able to access printers without it:

First, you’ll need to put some funds in your user account to be able to print and copy. You’ll need to add funds whenever the balance approaches $0.00.

Second, you’ll need to associate your card to your account the first time you use a multifunction device. This is a once off activity (unless you change cards).

Multifunction devices - Print, Copy, Scan

A new fleet of Ricoh Multifunction Devices are available in all La Trobe Libraries and many common areas across all campuses. By scanning your student card you can release print jobs or use other device functions like copying and scanning. The interfaces across all machines are the same and are simply, intuitive and easy to use. Feel free to check the Print, Copy, Scan webpage for more detailed information.

For more information on registering and loading credit to your student card, visit the MyPrint Recharge webpage.

Printing in computer labs

Printing may be available from some computer labs via a specific workstation with a direct print queue. Only that workstation can print to it, usually where this is required as part of the course or learning experience. In other areas, printers may be available in more open areas and you can print to them from La Trobe machines, via Email to Print and via Web Print.

Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD)

Printing is now also available from any device that has email or web connectivity. Go to the BYOD page to learn how to use the Email to Print or Web Print features of MyPrint
