ESL students - academic writing improvement workshops

Improve your academic writing

English as a second language

Writing assignments at university can be frustrating and confusing. There are many rules, conventions and expectations to meet. For many of you, this process becomes even more confusing after getting feedback on your first piece of assessment.

In Semester 1, Dr. Craig Horton from the Academic Language and Learning Unit (ALLU) is running a four-week program  for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences whose first language is not English. The workshops are designed to help you make the most of feedback provided by your tutors and lecturers.

You don't need to enrol in these short workshops. Simply turn up. There is NO extra reading or homework and no text books to buy…but please bring the learning guides for each of your subjects.
