Do you want to learn more about your discipline in other countries? There are different opportunities in each discipline and the Faculty of Health Sciences encourages
you to explore your options.

Studying overseas can be a life-changing and enriching experience that will provide you with many exciting challenges. Best of all, there is the potential to gain credit toward your degree while visiting another country.

Options include:

  • a short term program of 1 -5 weeks through the university or through outside organisations
  • a clinical placement overseas
  • volunteering overseas
  • a full semester exchange program with one of our partner institutions is possible in some instances

Volunteering Overseas

GoEco is providing global volunteering opportunities for university students, faculty, and staff of Medical and Health Studies. Volunteers can choose from a variety of placements focusing on humanitarian aid and medical outreach, using their knowledge and skills to provide a personal contribution. UniBreak Program

Antipodeans Abroad specialises in facilitating and managing student travel programs in developing countries. Since 1996, they have provided personalised programs for school groups, university groups and individual students in over 20 destinations in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. The UniBreak program is designed to provide university students

Firstly, talk to your Academic Contact for Outbound Mobility (see below) to discuss the options in your discipline: which semester (s) is most suitable for exchange, what type of international experience works best in your course and what programs are already established in your discipline.
