The Department of Dentistry & Oral Health requires students to purchase instruments, equipment and uniform items for use in throughout their courses.

Listed are the preferred suppliers for the School of Dentistry & Oral Health chosen based on best price, service and reliability. Please note the Department does not profit from the sale of any of the equipment, instrument nor uniform items. Alternatively, you have the right to source your own instruments and equipment.

Below is a summary of the costs for the first year. More detailed information and order forms are issued at enrolment. Please be aware that textbooks and the necessary credential checks (Working with Children Card, Police check, First Aid - Level 1 and Screening & Immunisation) are at additional costs, and are not included in this list.

There are some additional instrument & equipment purchases for second year BOHSc students and 3rd year BHSD students.

All items remain students' personal property.

It should be also noted that replacement items and repairs are responsibility of the student. Through out the years of your course it is expected that Frasaco teeth, uniform, burs, globes for the handpiece, lost stolen and damaged items would from time to time need replacing/repair.
