Student Leadership Conference
7th & 8th February, 2013 (Melbourne campus)
The Student Leadership Conference will give you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and network with La Trobe University students from other areas of leadership in the University and the community. The sessions will introduce you to the key theoretical concepts of leadership, engage you in policy debate and prepare you for the rest of the program.
The Student Leadership Conference is an essential aspect to the Infinity Leadership Conference. Your program fees will cover the cost of travel, accommodation and meals.
Leadership Seminar Series & Workshops
March – July, 2013
The Leadership Seminar Series will give you a unique insight into the personal and professional experiences of leaders. There will be three guest speakers consisting of alumni, staff and industry leaders. Each speaker will talk about leadership in the context of his or her field of expertise. The seminars will be followed by a group discussion, in which you will participate in student-led discussions on some of the key issues raised in the seminars.
Workshops will also be offered to provide practical skill development in the area of project management and career development.
Leadership in Action Project
March – July, 2013
The Leadership in Action Project will give you the opportunity to test your leadership skills and develop hands on experience. You will work in small groups to develop a project which will benefit the La Trobe University or local community. There will be a number of workshops throughout the Student Leadership Conference and seminar series to guide you in the planning and implementation of your Leadership in Action Projects. On completion of your projects, you will conduct a group presentation on the outcomes of your project.
