Applying

How do I apply?

Please note: you must be an enrolled student in 2013 to be eligible to become a Connect Mentor. 

There are three ways to apply:

1. Prior Involvement

If you've already been a Connect Mentor then you just need to fill out the application form again, and you’re in – that’s it!

2. Staff Referral

If you are in any other mentor/leadership programs or organisations (e.g. as a club) and can get a staff member to refer you, fill out the application form and let us know who’s referred you, and then most likely you will not have to attend a group interview! 

3. Group Interview

If you don’t have any previous experience, fill out the application form and come along to one of our group interviews where you’ll meet staff, mentors and other students. We will run a few activities to assess youre suitability for the role and hopefully after that, you’ll be ready to go! Please refer to the application form for group interview dates and times.

Key Dates for Melbourne Applicants

Please take note of the following dates for 2013 Connect Mentor Training. You are only required to attend one session. 

  • Wednesday 23 January, 10am - 3pm
  • Friday 25 January, 10am - 3pm
  • Thursday 31 January, 10am - 3pm
  • Saturday 2 February, 11am - 4pm
  • Monday 4 February, 10am - 3pm
  • Tuesday 5 February, 9am - 2pm
  • Wednesday 6 February, 4pm - 9pm
  • Saturday 9 February, 11am - 4pm
  • Tuesday 12 February, 10am - 3pm
  • Thursday 14 February, 10am - 3pm 

Once you have been confirmed as a Connect Mentor, you'll be able to register for one these training dates. If you're unable to attend one of these training dates, alternative arrangements may be possible.
