Career planning subjects

WORK READY SKILLS & PLANNING YOUR CAREER

This subject will enable you to identify how ‘work ready skills’ are developed through part-time employment, volunteer work, and academic studies. You will analyse the likely impact of social, demographic, technological, occupational and industrial trends on your career development. You will also get the opportunity to engage with professionals working in your preferred occupation and develop an understanding of career planning and decision-making processes.

As a fully online subject, you can choose to work through the topics as suggested, or at your own pace. Each week there will be an online lecture which is recorded and available to view anytime.

HUM2WRS is open to any undergraduate student studying at any campus (check with your faculty course advisor for eligibility). It is best suited to students in their second year of study or for first year students who have at least 3 years’ experience in the workforce.
