Disability support services
Disability Liaison Officers are able to assist students by assessing their needs and providing support to ensure they are able to participate fully and to the best of their ability. Disability Liaison Officers are able to provide information, support, advocacy and resources to students with disabilities. They will look at the effects of the disability on study and determine the adjustments required. Adjustments should aim to cancel out, as much as possible, the limitations created by the disability. Maximising student independence is a key goal. The range of support that may be available includes:
- Academic study support
- Adaptive equipment and technology
- Accessible course materials
- Academic support workers
- Alternative assessment arrangements
- Physical access
For information on how to register for disability support go to the Disability Support Services website or contact us/make an appointment.
