What can I use the LMS for?

• COMMUNICATION
  Communicate with your lecturer and other students enrolled in the subject via the available communication tools which include Discussion Forums, Chats, Instant Messaging, Wikis, Blogs and the ability to Manage My Contacts.
• SUBJECT MANAGEMENT
  Access your subject content, complete quizzes and self-assessment activities, submit assignments, prepare individual and group online presentations using wiki’s and review your grades.
• NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
  Read announcements sent by the University on Latest News and view scheduled events via the Upcoming Events.
• CALENDAR
  Use the Calendar to keep up with Global Events such as public holidays; Subject Events including assignment due dates; Group Events and your own personal reminders through User Events.
• PROFILES
  Create a profile, and see who is in your subject and find out a bit about them from their profiles.
• OTHER
  Conduct searches, use glossaries and access useful links.

Note: The set up of each subject is at the lecturer’s discretion and your lecturer may not use every feature or tool in their subject.
