My Profile

What is My Profile?

My Profile is your University wide personal profile. Your profile contains both required and optional fields. Required fields are marked with a red *. Profile information includes the description of yourself (if you have entered one) your name, location, email address (if you have chosen to make it accessible) and the list of subjects you are enrolled in and a picture.

Each LMS user (staff and students) can choose what information they would like to share about themselves. Users can choose whether information (such as their email address) is visible to all LMS users, only those within their subject or hidden from everyone.

How do I access My Profile?

To access your My Profile settings in the LMS you can either click on:

  • The hyperlinked name at the top right-hand corner of any subject homepage, or;
  • My Profile / View Profile from the Navigation Block.

How do I edit My Profile?

From the Settings Block, click on My profile settings and then select Edit profile.

The General settings for your profile will be displayed.

Profile general settings. Please note that some fields will be pre-populated with information from integrated systems (for example your name and email address from StudentOnLine) and these fields will
not be editable. Update or include any relevant information which will then be displayed on your profile page for others to view. For example you can enter some information about yourself (for example a brief description about yourself) into the Description box, update or include a photo of yourself in your user picture and  list your interests.

Once you have completed editing the settings, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Update profile. The updated profile will now be displayed.
