Using the Choice Activity
What is a Choice Activity?
A Choice activity enables a lecturer to ask a question and specifies a choice of multiple options. This may be used in a subject as a quick poll to stimulate your thinking about a particular topic or to have the group decide on a particular topic for an assignment.
How do I access a Choice Activity?
To view the Choice Activity, click on the Choice Activity link (which has a question mark graphic in front of it).

Completing the Choice Activity
The Choice Activity only allows you to select one choice from a variety of options. The lecturer has a number of options they can select when setting up a Choice Activity. They can select to display the choices horizontally or vertically, can use rating scale using words and/or numbers, can set a time period the Choice Activity is open for and whether the choice response can be updated by the student.
- Select one choice from the available options.
- Click on the Save my choice button.

How do I view responses from a Choice Activity
A lecturer can determine whether they do or don’t publish the responses of the Choice Activity.
The lecturer has a number of options to select from when publishing responses. They can publish responses individually to students as they respond to the activity or only publish the responses after the activity is closed.
They can also choose whether or not the Choice Activity is anonymous or whether to publish the responses with the students’ name.
Example: Responses being published to a student as they respond to the Choice Activity
