Assignments (Uploading an Assignment File)

What is an Assignment?

An assignment is an activity in the LMS in which you will be required to submit text or a document(s) for comment or assessment by your lecturer or tutor.

How do I access an Assignment

To access an assignment (in this example the lecturer requires the student to upload a single file to submit the assignment).

  1. Click on the Assignment link. This is available within the subject and may also be available from the Recent activity block.

Completing the Assignment

The description of the assignment and instructions is at the top of the page. The page also include details of the assignment due date.

To upload the assignment file:

  1. Click on the Upload a file button.

  2. To upload the file click on Choose a file. Note any file size restrictions.

  3. The File picker will be displayed.
  4. From the File picker, click on the Browse button to navigate to the file containing the assignment you are submitting.
  5. Once you have identified the correct file click on the Upload this file button.

    If the file name is displayed directly under the Upload a file area, you have successfully uploaded the file.
  6. To submit this assignment to your lecturer, click Save Changes.
