Troubleshooting
Java configuration
If using Collaborate on-campus at La Trobe University, it will be necessary to configure the proxy settings for Java. If the proxy settings for Java are not configured correctly, Collaborate will 'hang' shortly after clicking the link to enter a room and the Java symbol appearing.
To configure proxy settings for Java;
- Click the Start button > Control Panel > Programs > Java
- Click 'Network Settings' under the 'General' tab
- Select 'Use proxy server' and enter 'proxy.latrobe.edu.au' in the address field and '8080' in the port field
