When a Collaborate session has been setup, you will receive an email with a web link from your lecturer that you will use to access the session. Once you have clicked on these links you will be asked to allow a download, run an application and select your internet connection speed.
- Allow a download
Your browser will more than likely attempt to block a file download necessary for Collaborate to start. On Internet Explorer a bar will appear at the top of your browser window that looks like this;
Click on the bar and choose 'Download file'. - Run the application
Next, a dialog box will appear asking you if you want to allow the application from Blackboard Collaborate to run;
Click 'Run'. - Internet connection speed
Finally, you will be asked to select your internet connection speed;
Choose the appropriate option and click 'OK'.
