Basic Collaborate features

Activity	Instructions
Talking on Collaborate (using Audio)	Click the TALK button to turn on the microphone – you are being broadcast to the room. Click the TALK button again to turn off the microphone to avoid feedback loops (echoing).
Using video	If you have a webcam attached to your computer, click on VIDEO to start transmitting live video. To stop video, click on the VIDEO button again.
Using the Chat Function	To send a message type in the message field and hit <ENTER> on your keyboard. To send a private chat message to a participant; Select the participant to whom you would like to send the message Right-click on the person’s name and click ‘Send a private chat’ A new tab will appear with the participant’s name Type your message and press <ENTER>
Using the Whiteboard	Click on the WHITEBOARD in the navigation icons – the one on the left. You can have multiple whiteboard pages and you can load clip art images on the whiteboard. You can draw on the whiteboard or write words using the pen and text box tools.
