Student Engagement Forum 2009

Hosted by La Trobe University and the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), on July 2 2009, the Student Engagement Forum focused on the role student engagement plays in enhancing education and learning in universities, and how evidence from surveys can be used both to enhance practice and for quality improvement.

Keynote speaker Professor George Kuh is Chancellor’s Professor of Higher Education at Indiana University Bloomington where he directs the Centre for Postsecondary Research. Founding director of the widely-used National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), George has written extensively about student engagement, assessment, institutional improvement, and college and university cultures. He has consulted with more than 200 colleges and universities in the USA and abroad.
