Henry Reynolds, the leading historian of indigenous dispossession and Ghassan Hage, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Melbourne will debate Judith Brett, Professor of Politics at La Trobe and John Hirst, Australia’s leading political historian. 06/10/2009 Mental Health Awareness for you at La Trobe University (MHA FOR U @ LTU)
Health Sciences students Dina Farjou and Cassandra Georgiou have organised a forum for students and staff on mental health. Jack Bulman, CEO of indiginous men's health organisation Mibbinbah will speak and Jo Abbatangelo from Beyond Blue will present a DVD that shows how mental health affects the Indigenous community.
Wednesday 14th October, WLT 3, Bundoora, 2:00-3:00pm followed by discussion time.

06/10/2009 Free furniture available at the Furniture Shed, Bundoora!
La Trobe University’s First Fridays Furniture (FFF) Program is on again. The shed will be open this Friday, Oct 9, 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Our Maintenance Department takes unwanted furniture from all over the campus and anything in good condition is made available to staff and students for free.

14/09/2009 La Trobe University to vote on climate change future - 14 to 21 September
This week young people get to tell global leaders how they want them to tackle climate change. YOUth Decide is Australia’s first national vote on the type of world young people want to inherit. Students can vote online or at stations on all campuses this week.

A family of four swans has taken to wandering about the Agora. As a result of feeding they are becoming increasingly 'demanding' and could pose a threat. For more info contact George Paras of the Wildlife Sanctuary.

More workshops have been planned - Bundoora, Bendigo, Albury-Wodonga and Shepparton. There are two different workshops, one aimed at helping managers lead people through change and the other one aims to assist individuals to cope with and manage change.

The Administrative Change Program team is currently scheduling a range of seminars for staff on relevant Change topics. The first two that have been suggested are 'OCIS-How does it work?' and 'Redeployment'. Let us know what topics you would be interested in.
