Brief Profile

Professor Minchin joined the program in 2004 as a Senior Lecturer, was promoted to Reader and Associate Professor in 2006 and Professor in 2010. Professor Minchin's research interests are in twentieth-century U.S. History, particularly the history of the southern states, civil rights history, and labour history.

Research projects

Professor Minchin is completing a broad study of the decline of manufacturing industries in the United States from 1950 to the present day, funded by the ARC.
