Brief Profile

Nick Bisley is Professor of International Relations and Convenor of the Politics and International Relations Program. His research and teaching expertise is in the international relations of the Asia-Pacific, globalisation and the diplomacy of great powers. In 2009-10 he was a Senior Research Associate of the International Institute of Strategic Studies, in 2012 is a Visiting Fellow at the East West-Center in Washington DC and is a member of the Council for Security and Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific. Nick is the author of many works on international relations, including Great Powers in the Changing International Order (Lynne Rienner, 2012), Building Asia’s Security (IISS/Routledge, 2009, Adelphi No. 408), and Rethinking Globalization (Palgrave, 2007). He regularly contributes to national and international media including The Age, the ABC, and al-Jazeera.
