Please list your sporting career highlights

  • Multiple time State and National Champion, training and competing in America in their Nationals series.
  • Competing at the 2014 World Cheerleading National Championships, placing 6th and receiving the highest score an Australian team has received to date.

At what age did you start seriously training and competing in your sport(s)?

During 2011-2012. I moved to the biggest facility for cheerleading in Victoria (outlaws all stars) to improve my skills. I also doubled my training schedule to join our first elite all-girl team on track for the world championships.

What (and/or who) got you started in the sport?

I did dancing for a while competed at the same competitions the cheerleaders did and just switched from there.

Are other family members involved in sport?

My family is very active, we've always been involved in sport.

Who has been the biggest influence in your sporting career?

My mum – she supports my decisions and training program 110 per cent. For example, she alters my food intake to match my training schedule, runs ice baths and reminds me that the work is worth it.

Who has been the biggest influence in your academic life?

My sister – She works harder that anyone I know, and just recently graduated from Law school. She set a path for me to expect myself to achieve academic excellence.

Do you support any other sport and/or teams?

I coach other athletes at my gym, hoping to shape their life inside and outside of the gym. Every year at nationals we hold the opportunity to win a 'bid' for the world championships. If successful you also have the option to apply/try out for the national squad.

How do you relax? Do you have other life interests outside of your sport? 

I go through phases – a movie or the gym will help me unwind, but my current obsession is snowboarding or yoga.

What is one thing that might surprise readers to learn about you?

I played rep-basketball until I was 12.

What is your favourite food?  Movie? Music/performer?

What was the best advice you were ever given?

Any advice from my sister is always wise and on point with what I need to hear. It would have to be something along the lines of "anything is achievable" I really believe that if you work hard enough.

Do you have a saying or motto that you live your life by?

Everything happens for a reason and to trust the timing of your life.
