Nicknames – and how you earned it?
"Renation". I decided that I could be a DJ for a night (obviously failed), I downloaded a mixing app on my phone and that was my DJ name. It has stuck ever since.
Place of birth: Melbourne
Sporting career highlights
Competing at the Cheer and Dance World Championships in Orlando, Florida in 2014. My team placed 6th.
At what age did you start seriously training and competing in your sport(s)?
I've been doing ballet since I was 3 but it wasn't until I was 18 that I began formal full time dance training. I've been competing ever since.
What got you started in the sport?
I think it was my friends. It definitely wasn't any cheerleading movies.
Are other family members involved in sport?
I tried to make my brother start dancing when he was 5. Unfortunately, it didn't last. Although my family aren't athletes by any means, they have always been incredibly supportive.
Who has been the biggest influence in your sporting career?
My amazing coach, Nat! I didn't even know that someone so positive, motivational, inspirational and beautiful could exist. She believes in me even when I don't believe in myself and she never gives up on us.
Who has been the biggest influence in your academic life?
My mum will be the first person to admit that she is far from being an academic. But she's always made me believe that I am (whether that's true or not).
Do you support any other sport and/or teams?
I like to think that I barrack for St Kilda but I would struggle to tell you any of the player's names.
How do you relax? Do you have other life interests outside of your sport?
I love yoga! But besides that, I really don't have a lot of time for anything else.
What is one thing that might surprise readers to learn about you?
Although I'm left handed, I am very right-side dominant. There aren't a lot of skills that I can execute well on the left-side.
What is your favourite food? Movie? Music/performer?
I want to say chocolate, but for fear of my coach reading this, I'm going to go with Thai food! My favourite movie is The Wizard of Oz and my favourite artist is Eminem. I like straight up gangsta rap.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
"Never ask a question that you already know the answer to". This massively contradicts the "There is no such thing as a dumb question". But I think there definitely is. It taught me to use my brain a lot more and not rely on other people.
Do you have a saying or motto that you live your life by?
There is a Buddhist quote that goes "If you wish others to know about your good deeds, they are not truly good deeds". I love this! Admittedly, I'm guilty of this but I always make a conscious effort to try and live by it.
