At what age did you start seriously training and competing in your sport(s)?
What (and/or who) got you started in the sport?
My dad was involved in the sport and he introduced me to it when I was very little.
Are other family members involved in sport?
My dad and younger brother.
Who has been the biggest influence in your sporting career?
My dad. He helps me out a lot. He was my coach when I was in my early teens and he attends most of my regattas to support me. Also he pays all my bills.
Who has been the biggest influence in your academic life?
So far in my journey, it has to be my year 12 teachers. They put in a lot of extra time to help me out, especially when I missed classes because of paddling. I wouldn't have got into the course I wanted if It hadn't been for them.
Do you support any other sport and/or teams?
I like AFL and basketball. I also follow the other disciplines of kayaking such as slalom, whitewater and marathon. I myself am a sprint kayaker.
How do you relax? Do you have other life interests outside of your sport?
Sport and Uni take up most of my time, but when I do find a spare moment, I like to cook, listen to music or go out with friends.
What is one thing that might surprise readers to learn about you?
I have two cats, 3 chickens and a worm farm.

Wear your cap backwards, it'll make you go faster.
