Water polo
The Water Polo Club is a social and competitive club that is offered to students of La Trobe Uni, alumni, and the public. Water polo is a fun way to get fit, as well as meet new people at uni.
Training
- Main training session is held on Monday nights at the Sports centre pool all year round.
- An additional swimming session is available on Wednesday nights for those who wish to participate.
- Training encompasses swimming, ball skill development and game strategy.
- Both our men’s and women’s team train together to develop their skills.
Competitions
Victorian Water Polo State competition
Both our male and female teams are entered in the Victorian Water Polo state competition where we compete against clubs from various universities and institutions. Games are generally held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Albert Park, or at Melbourne High School, South Yarra. Car-pooling can be arranged.
Southern University Games & Australian University Games
Another big event on our calendar is the Southern University Games and the Australian University Games available to all La Trobe students. This is an experience not to be missed.
Social events
