Spanish ProgramPostgraduate StudiesThe Spanish Program provides students with the opportunity to further their studies in the literatures, cultures, and languages of Peninsular Spain, Latin America, Portugal, or Brazil. Within these broad areas of study, staff have a variety of more specialised interests that are reflected both in their teaching and in their research. Areas of specialisation include:
The Program is actively committed to promoting an environment of scholarly achievement and supports students with supervision only by those with expertise in the field; a weekly postgraduate work-in-progress seminar; research completion and publication incentives; an environment of staff-student collegiality through seminars, shared work spaces and common facilities. The Program arranges regular seminars, including students, staff and visitors, where postgraduate students have the opportunity to present their research. Postgraduate degrees Support for your Postgraduate ResearchThe Spanish Program allows postgraduate students to become part of a unique research community with seminars, conference and publication opportunities. Applications for candidatureProspective students may apply at any time. Inquiries should be made through the the Postgraduate Coordinator and applications through the Research and Graduate Studies Office. ScholarshipsAustralian and New Zealand scholarship applicants must submit their forms to the Research and Graduate Studies Office. International scholarship applicants must submit their application to the International Programs Office. Please check scholarships pages for application dates and deadlines. Students may also apply for a range of grants and awards to help fund their studies including: research grants, publication awards and thesis completion awards.
