Spanish ProgramHonours ProgramCourse StructureThe Spanish fourth-year honours program consists of a research essay of 15,000 words on an approved topic and two subjects at fourth-year level. Depending on staff availability, students may be able to undertake an honours program in some aspect of Hispanic, Portuguese or Catalan literature, language and/or culture. Enrolment may be full-time (2 semesters) or part-time (up to 4 semesters). All Honours' students have the opportunity to present their research at seminars attended by other students and members of the teaching staff. Entry RequirementsStudents wishing to enter fourth-year honours in the Spanish Program will normally have completed a major in Spanish or equivalent and have at least a B-grade average in their Spanish subjects. Students considering Honours are encouraged to include additional subjects which will broaden their knowledge of Spain and/or Latin America during their undergraduate course. It is also recommendable that they enhance their language skills by studying at one of the Spanish and/or Latin American universities with which La Trobe has an exchange agreement DURING THEIR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE, PREFERABLY AT THIRD YEAR LEVEL How to ApplyIf you are interested in undertaking an honours year in Spanish, you should:
