Yuzeng Xu's major research interest relates to Chinese as a second language acquisition. His publications are mainly in the field of applied linguistics.

Teaching

Yuzeng Xu has been teaching students from different levels in different Chinese subjects. During these years he has been teaching the subjects of:

  • Chinese for professional and academic purpose
  • Readings in contemporary Chinese prose
  • Chinese classical and Modern texts.

The subjects are designed to enhance students’ language skills and proficiency, and to prepare students for their further studies and future careers with skills of translation, document reading and knowledge of Chinese culture and civilization.
