• Health topics especially relating to the social consequences of the Human Genome Project, Occupational health and safety, alternative and complementary health care
• Rural and regional issues
• Changing nature of work

I am currently supervising theses in the following areas:

• Sociological perspectives on ADHD
• AIDS policy in Australia
• The consequences of societal polarisation for dental health
• Early retirement
• Decisions regarding prophylactic mastectomy for young women with a family history of breast cancer
