Kaori H. Okano is an Associate Professor/Reader in Asian Studies and the Convenor of Asian Studies Program in the School of Social Sciences. She researches in the field of sociology/anthropology of education and youth; and currently works on the global-local interface in education reforms, multicultural education, and social inequality in Asia (especially in Japan).
