  • Europe's Antipodes: The Imagining of Landscape in Australia

I am currently co-supervising theses in the following areas:

  • Migration in Australia and New Zealand – institutions, ideologies and identities
  • Interpreting Poverty after the Welfare State
  • Public Intellectuals and Social Democracy in New Zealand
  • Social Theory and the Development of Sociology of Religion in Australia
  • Re-narrating De-natured Landscapes: an eco-critical comparison of contemporary Indian and Australian writings on nature and environmental politics
