Our project “LIFE – Literacy Is For Everyone” is continuing to grow.

We were approached by Mildura Rural City Council’s Library Service to provide information on this project and they have obtained a grant to provide a collection of literacy resources to our region. Together we have formed a working group to assist rolling out this project to the community. Each library in our region will be resourced with a computer dedicated to literacy tools and packages. Publications will also be available at each library that will assist those who require assistance with literacy, to suit all ages and stages of development. Over the next 6 to 9 months the working group will purchase the resources and arrange the support to enable the bank of volunteers to be trained to work as tutors. The anticipated opening date is February/March 2009.
