As well as the full program of the Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Human Services being offered at Bendigo campus, members of staff offer Honours, Masters and PhD supervision in a range of postgraduate research topics. Some current postgraduate research projects being supervised by our staff include:

  • What are women’s experiences of changes in meaningfulness during midlife?
  • How do social workers who use a spiritual perspective apply this in practice
    How are complementary and alternative therapeutic approaches being used by social workers who work with depressed women?
  • What is women’s role in social change in small rural communities and what are the implications for community work?
  • Young women’s perception of risk of familial breast cancer
  • The experience of bullying in rural communities
  • Psychosocial well-being and community singing
  • Therapist experiences of working with young women with anorexia
  • The lived experience of women sharing birth stories

The Bendigo Social Work and Social Policy team has a track record of successfully supervising research projects to completion and the following are some of the most recent ones:
