Committees

School of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences

The day-to-day operation of the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences is supported by the following two committees established by the Head of School.

Executive Committee: Chair, Professor Philip Broadbridge (Head Of School)
The Executive Committee is comprised of the Head of School, the Heads of Departments, the Deputy Heads of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering, the School Executive Officer, the Director of Teaching and Learning, a representative of the FRAGS Committee and a representative of the OH&S Committee. This committee meets monthly to discuss matters relating to the administration of the School including budgetary issues and resources.
 
Research Committee : Chair, Assoc Prof Andrew Peele
The Research Committee comprised of one representative from each of the five departments, promotes and encourages research activities within the School and allocates the annual Faculty Block Grant.
 
Engineering Board of Studies : Chair, Professor Phil Broadbridge
The Engineering Board of Studies comprises the Head of School, the Heads of Departments, the Deputy Heads of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering, the School Executive Officer, a computer engineer, an electronic engineer and a student representative who is enrolled in an engineering degree. The Engineering Board of Studies meets monthly to discuss issues relating to engineering degrees
