My name is Bridgett Fogg and I am a student ambassador at La Trobe University. Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science with plans to go onto further study at La Trobe. I enjoy being a student ambassador because I see value in sharing my experiences with others.
University presents students with many opportunities to become part of the community in other aspects than academia. My advice to future students is to take advantage of every chance you get.
La Trobe University is a great place because it allows you to meet people from diverse backgrounds and make many friends. The location means that the community centres around the university with a beautiful natural backdrop. Lecturers know their subjects and are eager to teach.
My advice on attending Open Day’s is to not only attend information sessions for your course but other potential pathways or relevant courses. You may find that another course is more relevant to your interests.
I also encourage you to visit the Colleges as on-campus accommodation gives you a great opportunity to be part of the University, and to meet people from all sorts of backgrounds.
