I did two internships. First was the industry based learning scholarship. I worked with AirServices Australia for 5 months whilst doing my Masters and I just finished another two week project for Amcor. I have learned a lot from those two industry experience, and the most exciting thing is I really used what I learned from my studies at La Trobe.
I see my course taking me to work as web developer and software programmer. My course has absolutely given me good career opportunities.
The best thing about studying here is that La Trobe offers good work experience opportunities to students, and the teaching staff are nice and always make the best effort to help students. The computer facilities and the library are really good resources.
A highlight of coming to Melbourne is the nice weather, nice view and nice people. My advice to international students is to look for the major you are really interested in, and do some part time work which doing what you learned. And enjoy university life!
